Trinity To Beat Notts County And City To Hunter?

b5

17th February 2010

Gainsborough Trinity could be set to make a transfer coup by stealing a march on Football League clubs Lincoln City and Notts County.

Trinity, according to reports in Sleaford, are set to make an approach for Sleaford Town striker Miles Hunter. Ok maybe that is not of interest to you, however, these reports also state that Lincoln City and Notts County have scouted Hunter. Whether they have ended their interest already is unknown but it could be quite a coup for Gainsborough.

Hunter is having a prolific season at Sleaford, having reached 25 goals for the season even before the Christmas decorations were being put up!

Sleaford Town boss Brian Rowland rates 21-year-old Hunter as one of best young players that he has worked with.

Last Saturday, Hunter notched his third hat-trick in four games prompting rumours that struggling Gainsborough could be set to move for him. Whether he joins is open to question as he has already rejected a transfer to Boston United this season.
