Two Lincoln City players have been denied much needed
loan moves.
Sam Clucas and Kern Miller were set to join local
non-league side Lincoln Moorlands railway; however, their
loan moves have fallen through due to red tape.
Moorlands have fallen foul of Northern Counties' East
League rules that prevent short-term loans from Football
League clubs.
Their assistant manager Dave Frecklington explained:
"Teams in our league are not allowed to sign
contracted players on short-term loans from Football
League clubs."
The collapse is a blow to both players and the two clubs
involved as it would have been a win-win situation for
all concerned. Moorlands are fighting relegation and
desperately need some new players to give them a lift.
City meanwhile, wanted to see these two players in action
as their futures could depend on it for Clucas is
currently transfer listed.
