Former Lincoln City winger Khano Smith has resurfaced; he
has rejoined his former club New England Revolution.
Smith is one of several "key additions" to the
New England Revolution squad ahead of the new season of
Major League Soccer.
He will no doubt be hoping to put a disappointing spell
at Sincil Bank behind him after signing for Lincoln City
in October 2009 having already established himself in
Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US.
At the time of Smith's signing, the Lincoln City manager
Chris Sutton said: "He has a trick and he can go
past people, so weighing it all up, he certainly has
something to offer."
Apparently, Smith lists his favourite moment in football
as scoring his first goal for Bermuda. Unfortunately, he
probably did not have any great memories at Lincoln to
add his collection as despite commanding an instant first
team place, he came in for some criticism from Lincoln's
fans; he was soon dropped by Sutton. Smith left Lincoln
City on January 7th 2010 when is short-term contract
expired.
Last month, Smith joined Brentford on trial but he has
now opted to return to MLS.
