John Deehan Joins Grimsby Town
17th March 2010
Lincoln City's relegation rivals Grimsby Town could have
just made their best signing of the season by appointing
former Lincoln City Director of Football John Deehan as
their Head of Recruitment.
Although given the title of Director of Football at
Lincoln, Deehan occupied a similar role at Sincil Bank
between July 2006 - October 2007. During this time, he
and manager John Schofield brought in players such as
Dany N'Guessan, Louis Dodds (loanee), Mark Stallard and
Paul Green. All of whom were good players for Lincoln,
with N'Guessan in particularly shinning thereby securing
a move to Leicester City last summer.
In fact, Schofield and Deehan only really made one bad
signing and that was ageing striker Steve Torpey. It is
just a shame that things went disastrously wrong for the
pair at the start of the 2007/08 season.
